Live Event Attendance Down in North Carolina
Jamie James - November 29, 2017

IGS held a live event once more over the weekend. Sunday Night saw IGS wrestlers competing in the heart of wrestling country at the Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. The event saw appearances from some of the hottest stars in the wrestling world such as The Lynch Consortium and The Golden Boys, Phaser, Kayden Paulton, and LLB. The attendance for the event, however, was the lowest IGS has ever seen -- Possibly due to the ill timed decision to run the night after WWE ran their own Live Event: Starrcade 2017. While Starrcade saw a near sell out crowd, IGS saw numbers closer to 6,000 fans in the near 20,000 capacity arena.

General Manager John Ackerman and CEO Michael King could not be reached for comment in regards to the unsuccesful venture into the former hot bed of american professional wrestling, but in my personal opinion, I'd chalk it up to a mix of bad timing and the nostalgia factor gained by the WWE after the event was promoted under the banner of the former Jim Crockett Promotions and WCW flagship event from the 1980s and 90s.

Lets hope that IGS 3 -- which takes place this Sunday at the Kingdom Coliseum in Allentown, PA fairs better in front of the IGS hometown crowd. Look for transcriptions to be posted the following Monday, December 4th, 2017.
